Boulder’s EMI Sportswear buys Longmont industrial building

From Biz West, 8/18/15.  LONGMONT — Boulder-based EMI Sportswear has purchased a 16,500-square-foot industrial building in the Weld County portion of Longmont for $1.5 million that it will use for overflow warehousing and storage of its products.

EMI Sportswear, owned and operated by Russell Coburn, purchased the building at 1650 Skyway Drive from White Peaks Properties LLC.

EMI Sportswear, located at 6840 Winchester Circle, No. 1 in Boulder, designs and produces a line of souvenir resort apparel for men, women and children including fashion T-shirts, hoodies, jackets and caps. The company was founded by Russell Coburn in 1985 under the name Early Man Images Inc.

EMI will use 10,000 square feet of the building for warehousing and storage and lease the remaining 6,500 square feet to The Aqueous Solution Inc., a pool and spa service company.

White Peaks Properties previously occupied the building as AIM Processing and outgrew the space.
